AOC Anjou Blanc "Château de Villevêque"

  • Type of wine :

Semi-dry white wine, 100% chenin

  • Vinification :

Château de Villevêque's Anjou Blanc is a wine with a strong personality, enhanced by the choice of hand-picking the Chenin grapes in batches, i.e. by selecting only those grapes in the vineyard that correspond to the desired visual maturity or over-ripeness.

The deep yellow grapes are vinified in the traditional way. Alcoholic fermentation is stopped when a few grams of natural sugar remain in order to balance the mouth and take full advantage of the acidity, prolonging the palate impression of the wine.

  • Tasting :

Eye : Bright pale yellow, white hints of gold.

Nose : Very expressive and intense nose, beautiful fruity with peach aromas. Mineral notes.

Palate : Soft attack, good liveliness. Beautiful aromatic freshness, identical aromas as perceived on the nose. On the whole, a well-balanced wine with good persistence.

  • Food and wine pairing :

It's to be enjoyed as an aperitif, with foie gras. It is also a perfect match with goat cheese. Serve at 8-10°C.
