The Château de Villevêque red Anjou is made with 50% Cabernet Franc and 50% Cabernet Sauvignon. Unique gravelly soil with a limestone subsoil. The vineyard was renewed between 2010 and 2013. Potential for aging 5-6 years.
The harvest is brought back to our cellars and kept separate from the other vintages. A moderate extraction is practiced with a maceration of about 15 days. The temperature is rigorously controlled during fermentation. Bottling takes place in the spring.
Eye : Beautiful ruby colour with hints of purple.
Nose : Very fine nose with aromas of black fruit (blackberry) and finely spiced.
Palate : Round and generous, with the same aromatic continuity. Nice finish and good length in the mouth with silky tannins.
At 15-16°C, it will go very well with the grilled red meats or poultry.
