AOP Crémant de Loire Rosé

  • Type of wine :

Semi-dry rosé sparkling wine (very tender)
60% grolleau noir and 40% cabernet franc

  • Vinification :

The grapes, at the correct maturity (total absence of altered grapes) are harvested by hand (obligatory) and transported in open crates to avoid crushing and maceration. The pressing is delicate. The different grape varieties are vinified separately and blended just before the second fermentation process (in the bottle). This Crémant is a blend of Cabernet Franc, for its finesse and its tannic structure, and Grolleau Noir for its fruity characteristics. Once the wine has been made, it is vinified and stored on laths in the tuffeau cellars of Langlois Château in Saumur for a minimum of 12 months before being able to start the final production stage ("dégorgement") and savour the divine bottles.

  • Tasting :

Eye : Bright pink colour, delicate bubbles.

Nose : Intensely expressive, with aromas of red fruits.

Palate : Soft and smooth because of the fact, that for this vintage we chose to make it semi-dry. Good aromatic consistency with the impressions in the nose.

  • Food and wine pairing :

Fresh, at 7-8°C, it's perfect as an aperitif, for a cocktail party or with a dessert of red fruits.
